Hi, my name is Mary Franklin, I am the creative mind behind Bay Explorer.com. I also run a small homeschool pod in San Leandro called Creative Explorers Care. Every week we field trip & explore our Bay Area backyard. We visit local discovery museums, parks, farms, nature, & indoor play spaces. We use our environment as our classroom & learn from all that surrounds us! We are located in San Leandro as our home base right off the 150th exit of 580, so easy freeway access.
I have been working with children for 20 years. I worked for 13 years as a preschool teacher, 5 years as a nanny, and have had my in-home daycare/ homeschool open for 6+ years. I have my B.A. in Early Childhood Education and my M.A. in Educational Leadership.
Creative Explorers Care is now enrolling for part time positions. We are a great supplement to your family's homeschool week. This innovative homeschool focuses on nurturing kind, creative, adventurous explorers. We emphasize creating & exploring our community!
Every week we field trip! Every week are new and exciting field trips to parks, beaches, playgrounds, hiking, discovery museums, farms, indoor play gyms, and zoos. I have a 12 seater van that we use for our trips. Field trips are announced at the beginning of the month in the newsletter and happen weekly! Our focus this year is world schooling, locally.
Enrolling children 3.5-11 years old. Tuition bracket & parent handbook can be sent upon request.
